Fast Five
Brian O’Conner is a former cop who along with Mia Toretto helps an ex-con, Dom Toretto, to escape from the custody of the authorities. By doing this, they break the law and hence get on the opposite side of the law. However, they have their own ulterior motives in doing this. After this, they come to Rio de Janeiro where they have to perform their final job to assure their freedom. There they have to confront a corrupt businessman to complete the entire process. So during the process, they make some few friends and allies who can help them get rid of the entire fiasco. Finally, they manage to assemble their friends in a car race which they have to win at all costs to achieve what they want. But other than confronting the corrupt the businessman, they also have to elude the authorities since an irritating federal agent, Luke Hobbs, is trying his best to locate and arrest them. He has been assigned a special task to track down and arrest Dom and Brian and has a record of never failing. After assembling his assault team, he leaves for Brazil where he has to arrest them. This is sort of continuation of the Fast and Furious franchise but with a different story and additional cast as well, of which Dwayne Johnson is the most noteworthy of course. The plot and overall story is not as good as the initial installments of the series but nonetheless, it was quite engaging and entertaining. Performance by the entire cast was quite good but it was, once again, Dwayne Johnson who stole the show. He has played the role of a bad-ass cope is a very efficient manner and his dialogue delivery is also pretty impressive. Overall, this film proved to be successful just like the previous installments of the franchise.
