The Green Hornet
The Green Hornet is basically a superhero film but with a comic touch. It is based on the famous character of the comic books with the name of Green Hornet. We see that Benjamin Chudnofsky (played by Christoph Waltz) is a mobster who wants to become the crime boss of LA. So he starts his mission with Danny “Crystal” Clear (played by James Franco) and demands that Clear give the ownership of his club to Benjamin. But Clear refuses and says that Benjamin is not scary enough to undertake this task. Upon hearing this, Benjamin attacks Clear’s club and kills one of his men. Even funnier thing comes in when he asks Clear how to become even more intimidating and upon Clear’s own suggestion, he bombs and destroys Clear’s Club. Two other important characters in the film are Britt and Kato. Britt is the son of a famous publisher while Kato is a mechanic and a martial artist who also happens to be in Britt’s father’s staff. But both of them do not have very friendly feeling towards James so when James die, they both visit his grave and cut off the head of the memorial statue to represent their scorn for him. After this endeavor, they decide to act as criminals and infiltrate the crime underworld. So they get hold of a high tech car with the name of Black Beauty and start roaming in the streets posing them as mobsters. They also create a fictional character with the name of Green Hornet and promote themselves with it. For this purpose, Britt also uses the newspaper of his father and publishes an article about the Green Hornet. But eventually, Britt gets into a fight with Kato and so he fires Kato. Kato receives an offer from Benjamin who offers him 1$ million plus half of LA if he kills Britt. But eventually, Britt and Kato become friends again and together they get rid of Benjamin. This film is full of crazy comedy and action and one cannot helps laughing out loud. From start to the very end, countless moments of hilarity are there tinged with mobster action.
